Sorry, this item has sold.

This wool pack includes wool fabrics and colors similar to the ones I used to hook my design "Sunflower Welcome". This lovely bundle of wool would be great for autumn projects, if rug hooking, it will hook a design that is about 18" x 28".

The pattern is NOT included in this listing. To purchase the PATTERN, see this listing:

This wool pack can be used for applique projects, quilts or sewing projects. A wonderful addition to your stash! Colors in the wool pack include shades of brown, red, golds, greens and more. Many different textures are included.

This wool pack includes 2-5/8 yards of 100% wool fabrics including mostly hand dyed wool and some mill dyed pieces. They are ready to use for rug hooking and applique and craft projects. The wool is not cut into strips. You will need a rug hooking strip cutter or you can cut by hand.

The pack includes a generous amount for the Sunflower Welcome pattern so that you will have enough to complete the rug and leftovers. However, if you hook higher or tighter than I do, you may need more wool and are welcome to purchase additional.

The photos include a finished sample of the rug to give you an idea of the how I hooked it. I used a #8 cut (1/4" wide strips). It is very fun and fast to hook, a great pattern for beginners and veteran rug hookers.

If you have never hooked a rug in the primitive rug hooking style, I recommend that you sign up for a class or learn from online videos to learn the technique before purchasing this wool pack.

Which Backing Fabric should I choose?

Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.

Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.

Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.

Do you refund shipping overage charges?

Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.

Beautiful wool. Love this pattern. Perfect for me because I haven’t made too many rugs up to this point. Easy to follow
