This listing is for the rug hooking pattern "Three Flowers Runner". This is for the PATTERN ONLY, not the finished rug.
The design is 12" x 24" and is hand drawn on either monks cloth or primitive linen, your choice. See FAQ for more info on foundation/backing fabrics. There is a 4" border to make it fit on most lap top frames or in a 14" hoop. I have serged any outside raw edges to prevent raveling while hooking.
The finished sample included in the photos shows you how I hooked it. It is a fun rug to hook and a good choice for beginners if you had learned to hook or planning to take a class. I hooked the background with a mix of tans and off white textured wools and the basket, flowers and leaves in reds, oranges and greens. I also added a little turquoise and gold as highlights.

Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.
Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.
Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.
Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.
