Rug Hooking PATTERN, Primitive Floral #3, 24" x 30", P120, Folk Art Floral, DIY Primitive Rug Hooking

A DIY rug hooking PATTERN "Primitive Floral #3, 24" x 30" which you can purchase on either Primitive Linen or Cotton Monks Cloth.
This listing DOES NOT include the hooked rugs which are shown as a samples.

It is from my design collection and is based on antique rugs and folk art with floral themes. The three photos show different renditions of the rug. The 1st hooked by my sister, Carol hooked with a #8 cut. The second by my rug hooking friend, Cindy, and the 3rd by fellow rug hooker, Julie hooked with 8-1/2 cut.
I love how unique and beautiful each one is!

I have hand drawn the pattern on primitive linen or monks cloth with at least 4 inch borders. Care has been taken to draw all straight lines on the grain line so that your rug will finish square. The outer edge of the pattern have been serged to prevent raveling while hooking.

This pattern would be great for a beginning rug hooker to take to a teacher workshop.

If you have never hooked before I would suggest starting out with a small pattern to see if you like it.

Which Backing Fabric should I choose?

Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.

Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.

Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.

Do you refund shipping overage charges?

Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.
