A DIY PATTERN "Two Crows and Three Pumpkins". It measures 18" x 24" and can be ordered on your choice of primitive linen or monks cloth. This is for the pattern ONLY. The finished rug is used as an example only and is not included in the listing. A 4" x 6" photo will accompany your pattern.
I hand draw each of my patterns making sure to draw on the straight of grain. A four inch border surrounds each side and the outer raw edges are serged to prevent raveling. Monks cloth is great for all cuts of wool. Primitive linen is better for wide cuts, #8 (1/4") and wider.
The first photo shows you a finished sample to show you how I hooked it. It is a fun rug to hook and a good choice for beginners as well as experienced hookers. I used #8 cut to hook this design (1/4" wide strips). The border is a mix of dark plaids and textures in blacks and browns. The pumpkins are hooked in various orange and off white textures. The crows are hooked with a mix of black textures. The sky is a mix of blue greens, the stars a mix of golds.

Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.
Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.
Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.
Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.
