This listing is for ONE rug hooked Easter Egg. I have hand hooked it with 1/4" strips of wool in a variety of colors.
The style is called "hit and miss" because I randomly choose strips from a basket full of lovely Spring colors.
It is about 4" long and 3" across.
A light yellow windowpane plaid wool with pinked edges covers the back of the egg.
A wool strip is attached to the top to make it an ornament or door hanger.
I have several of these available, see photo 2. Each one is unique, OOAK and colors may vary from photos.
Hang it from your Easter tree, a window sill, dresser drawer or attach to the back of a chair or side of a cupboard. Or just pile a bunch of them in a basket.
If you would rather use it as a bowl filler it is easy to cut off the loop.
It's a wonderful little piece of color and visual interest that will add a bit of primitive Americana to your home or a great gift for those on your list who love primitives hooked ornaments.

Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.
Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.
Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.
Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.
