Rug Hooking KIT, Woodland Deer Chair Pad or Table Mat, J756, DIY Rug Hooking Kit, Primitive Rug Hooking
This listing is for the kit to hook my design "Woodland Deer". It is 14" round and will hook up quickly into a chair pad or table mat. If you are planning to take a rug hooking class or go to a workshop to learn how to hook, this kit would be great!
Each kit includes:
1. The pattern on cotton monks cloth or primitive linen, select your choice.
2. 100% wool fabrics that I have washed and dried. Cut or uncut, your choice. Wool fabric selection may vary slightly from the original, but will give the overall same look when finished hooking.
3. Instructions of where to use the colors in the wool pack and a color photo. It does not include instructions on how to hook.
The kit DOES NOT include a hook, hoop or frame, or finishing fabric or yarn.

I have hooked the design in a #8 cut (1/4" wide strips of wool). The background is a mix of dark and medium khaki green textures. The deer is a fun mix of gray and tan textures. The border is hooked with the leftovers of the deer and background with an addition of a autumn red plaid to add a little splash of color.
It's also a great design for the veteran rug hooker who is looking for a quick project that will bring a little "woodland" feel into your home.

Custom and personalized orders
Please feel free to contact me about special orders by clicking on the "request a custom order" button. I have a lot of inventory that is not listed.
If you are looking for a specific color or texture, I will be happy to check my inventory. If you are able to send a photo, that is a great help to me in understanding what you are looking for.
Special Orders are non returnable. Wool Kits and Wool Packs that have been cut in strips for rug hooking are not refundable.
Designs and patterns that have been customized and/or personalized cannot be returned.
Which Backing Fabric should I choose?
Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.
Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.
Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.
Do you refund shipping overage charges?
Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.
