Lancaster Plaid is a deep red and green plaid made up of shades of red, green, black, gold and brown. It is a rich dark plaid with a mix of colors that will look amazing hooked into a background.
It is 100% mill dyed wool fabric which I have gently washed to make it ready for rug hooking, applique, quilting and many other wool stitchery projects.
Fat quarters measure approx 16" x 28", fat eighths approx 14" x 16".
It is a medium weight, suitable in rug hooking for all primitive cuts #7 through wide cuts. The plaid is about 2" square, but the weave has lengths of reds and lengths of green that could be fussy cut to get different looks.
Add this lovely plaid to your stash to have it ready for your next project. Fabulous for backgrounds, borders, animals, outlines, hit and miss patterns and more.
As monitors and screens may vary, please refer to color description above. The photos were taken in bright studio lighting. The plaid may appear darker or more subdued in your home setting.

Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.
Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.
Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.
Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.
