London Fog, a wonderful gray stripe, 100% wool fabric that I have gently washed and dried to make it ready for rug hooking, applique and other craft projects.
The background is a medium gray while the stripe includes threads of dark gray and soft light brown. The stripes are about 1/2" wide between background about 3/4" wide.
Perfect for hooking gray animals such as squirrels, cats, and birds. Also great for backgrounds, paths, stone walls, mountains and hills.
This wool fabric is a medium weight, good for rug hooking with a #6 cut or wider and perfect for applique and sewing projects.
Fat quarters are approximately 16" x 28"
Fat eighths are approximately 14" x 16"

Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.
Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.
Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.
Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.
