Stormy Night Purple, 1) fat quarter yard of hand dyed 100% wool fabric, measuring approximately 16" x 28".
I have over dyed a windowpane plaid, originally light gray with black, brown and gray running through it, with a special purple recipe that is country and primitive perfect!
This wool fabric is medium weight, suitable in rug hooking for wide cuts #8 and wider.
I named it Stormy Night Purple because I think it would hook up dark and rich like a night sky with storm clouds. Also great for purple flowers, purple mountains, and wild berries. Great for outlining!
Great for primitive rug hooking, applique, pincushions, make-dos, pin keeps, quilts, purses, bags and more.
Keep in mind that monitors may display colors differently. These photos were taken under bright studio lighting, so the wool may be a bit deeper and darker in person. The basket of paisley in the corner one photo helps the camera read the true color and gives you an idea of how wonderful it would look with reds :)

Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.
Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.
Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.
Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.
