2010 Hook-ins at Designs In Wool Studio in Eden Prairie
Due to personal commitments and summer time happenings for everyone and Fall engagements, hook-ins here at the studio will be held just once per month on the 3rd Friday of the month for the rest of the year, with no hook-in in September because of the Arrowhead Hookcrafters Rug School where I will be teaching.  Time has changed also, to 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  See dates below.

Join me and fellow rug hookers at hook-ins held at my home studio in Eden Prairie (see photos below).
No charge to attend but space is limited.  Please e-mail with dates you would like to sign up.
Come to hook or come to shop!  The studio is filled with beautiful hand dyed wool, Designs In Wool Patterns,
"As Is" wool washed and ready to hook, or on the bolt,  and supplies.

I send out monthly newsletters to keep everyone informed of any updates, so if you are not on my e-mail list, please send me a note that you would like to be added.

No charge to attend the hook-ins. Bring your projects and a bag lunch. Coffee, beverages and snacks are available. It's a fun relaxing day with friendly conversations, wonderful projects to look at... and oh... there's a lot of wool for your perusal...wool, wool and more wool.

This will not be a teaching time for me but I will be happy to help you with any questions you might have about the projects you are working on. 

It's also a day to come and shop, the studio is full of patterns, hand dyed wool and "as is" wool, either on bolts or washed and ready to hook and supplies.

Hook a Wool Flower Class

Make a whimsical flower pin with wide cut flower petals and a sculptured center. The kit will include backing fabric, wool to hook, and finishing supplies. You will need to bring a wide shank primitive hook, sharp scissors, and your lap frame.
Instruction & Materials: $25.00. Three hour class.
Class Size: 4

The Winter/Spring Classes were a lot of fun.  Continue to watch for a new dates, or...  if you have a group of 2 to 4 that is interested in this class, please contact me to schedule a date that will work for all of you.

To reserve your spot in scheduled classes, please e-mail me to see if there is still room in the class.  Then mail a check for $25.00 to me at the address on the Order Form.  Sign-ups will be listed as payment is received. Please make sure to include your email and phone number and the date you wish to attend. Refunds are available up to 14 days prior to the class; if you can find someone to take your place, that would be great.  Within 14 days, refunds are not available. Full refunds will be made if cancelled by Designs In Wool.

Individual Lessons - Available by appointment.  $20/hour  Do you just need a little help with technique or color planning?  Trying to remember how to hook?  Individual lessons are a great way to give you the confidence you need to get going...or get going again!  Sometimes an hour or two is all you need.  Please email to talk about dates and times.    

Introduction to Rug Hooking
Primitive Rug Hooking is a wonderful old craft.   Learn the basics to get you started.

Two sessions will get you going.  Each session will be 2 hours in length.  The first session will get you going with basic techniques and tips.  The second session will focus on finishing your project.
Cost:  $80.00 includes teacher fee and a beginner kit with hook.   You will need to bring a 12" or 14" wooden hoop or you can purchase one at the class.
